Harmony Hot Yoga and Kay Forrester (the instructor) are absolutely amazing! I went there this past Saturday for the 9:30 class, and I wore my apple watch to see what kind of workout I was getting doing hot yoga. The results were incredible! In a 90 minute class, I burned 978 active calories with a total of 1,152 calories burned during the class. My average heart rate was 146 BPM! Typically, when I lift, my heart rate averages between 115-125. This truly is a great workout, and I would recommend it to anyone! You do not have to know anything about yoga to appreciate Kay’s class, and I feel confident she will work you as hard as you are willing to work, regardless of whether you are a novice or an expert yogi. Please give Harmony Hot Yoga a try!!! You will not regret it!
You would think that every class would be same as it is the same 26 postures done twice in the same exact order in 90 minutes every time, but that is not the case. The instructor is everything in Bikram yoga and Kay Forrester’s classes are the best! Kay brings the best energy to class every time she teaches. She is wonderful with new students and she also remembers to correct and give tips to those of us who have been practicing for some time. I have been practicing Bikram yoga for over 4 years now and Kay has helped my practice over the past year tremendously with her guidance and corrections to my postures. Kay delivers a positive, upbeat and energetic yoga class. If you can, you must take her class!
Kay brings an authenticity to the classroom that guides you through your practice in an inspiring, but not intimidating way. She has a presence of energy and kindness and her classes give you an incredible workout for your mind, body and spirit! I have really enjoyed her classes. Kay has just the right blend of energy, presence of encouragement without overpowering the practice and leaving space for self reflection. I would highly recommend her classes to anyone old or new to the practice of yoga!
One word I can use to describe Kay the instructor, “PASSION!” The moment she enters the room to start teaching, one can feel the energy. During the class, one can sense that her focus is totally on the students and helping them expand their own practice. I highly recommend taking Kay’s class as often as you can.
Kay combines infectious energy, warm southern charm, and a passion for yoga. Her classes are energetic, yet so much fun that it is easy to work hard. I always look forward to seeing Kay’s name on the schedule.
Wow … Kay is always such an inspiration and displays tremendous passion for the original hot yoga. I am one of Kay’s many students and I can feel Kay’s genuine love and passion in every class. Just when I think I’m out of energy during class, she’s there giving that extra boost … Telling us, “If you can, you must!” I used to only run and lift weights, which really tighten my hamstrings. Since I’ve incorporated hot yoga in my routine, it has properly stretched my hamstrings and feeling so much better. It’s a journey … It gets better and better!
The best class, start to finish, that I’ve ever experienced was with Kay teaching. She allows space for meditation and has a contagious energy that is very motivating – she had me actually enjoying an extra long set of Camel! She’s an extraordinarily gifted teacher, and I can’t wait to take her class again!

As a Bikram instructor, Kay Forrester is the perfect blend of compassion and passion. She tunes in to her students’ needs, and she paces her classes to encourage us to find that balance between athleticism and meditation. Every class is fulfilling in its own unique way, and I am so thrilled that my hometown is finally getting a yoga center that provides the physically and spiritually healing benefits of Bikram yoga.
The practice in a heated environment really helped me recover from the knee surgery and has given some relief from the arthritis. My flexibility has drastically improved, my weight is down, and I am more cognizant of my diet. I am positive that this practice will continue and that I will continue to improve.
